Responsibilities
- Redefine the backend architecture of core services toward microservices and cloud-native approaches.
- Establish and lead refactoring standards addressing resilience, continuous delivery, and observability.
- Design application architectures in collaboration with Cloud Architects and infrastructure teams.
- Lead legacy module decomposition, module boundary redesign, API refinement, and domain model modernization.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, development guidelines, and mentoring.
- Define scalable technical roadmaps and conduct proofs of concept for new technologies.
- Make architecture decisions considering security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Define service SLA/SLO standards and establish quality and reliability metrics.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in backend development and software architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building backend software architectures.
- Experience designing or refactoring large-scale or mission-critical systems.
- Understanding of cloud-native concepts including resilience, scalability, continuous delivery, and observability.
- Understanding of domain modeling, transactions, and data consistency.
- Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring within development teams or projects.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Experience designing inter-service communication using RESTful APIs and/or gRPC.
- Experience working in collaborative development and code review environments.
- Preferred experience designing and operating services in Kubernetes-based environments such as OpenStack.
- Preferred experience with infrastructure as code in public cloud environments.
- Preferred experience with event-driven or message-based architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Preferred experience applying Domain-Driven Design or Clean Architecture.
- Preferred experience collaborating with DevOps and Cloud teams on delivery pipelines and monitoring.
- Project-level or team-level management experience is preferred.
