Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering activities and manage commitments for a supporting technical team within an Integrated Product Team.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, including embedded software development, software integration, and testing.
- Provide technical leadership in Agile, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or scaled Agile environments.
- Develop or oversee object-oriented and multithreaded software for real-time, flight-critical, safety-critical, medical, or mission-critical applications.
- Document, capture, and present software architecture using modeling or diagramming tools.
- Interface and communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience, or a master’s degree and 10 years, or a PhD and 8 years.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, and Python, with experience in several of the listed languages expected.
- Experience with Agile software development, object-oriented programming, embedded software programming, software integration, and testing.
- Experience with several of Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, Coverity, and Black Duck.
- Demonstrated experience as a technical lead responsible for managing and meeting supporting-team commitments.
- Active in-scope U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) before employment begins.
- Preferred experience leading large software organizations in a formal scaled Agile role.
- Preferred experience with real-time operating systems including VxWorks, Integrity, or Real Time Embedded Linux, and with Docker containers and RHEL 8.10 or later.
- Current applicable Special Access Program access is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions involving government clearance.
