Base Salary
$141k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive CPU software architecture, firmware development, feature enablement, and hardware-software co-design for Qualcomm Custom CPU systems.
- Design, implement, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, firmware, and specialized utility programs.
- Analyze software requirements and user needs to optimize system and application efficiency.
- Code large features, perform unit testing, debugging, integration, regression testing, issue triage, and fixes.
- Conduct code reviews and write technical documentation for software projects.
- Collaborate with project teams and hardware design teams to define and deliver software architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 2+ years.
- At least 2 years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and 6+ years of embedded systems development experience.
- Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals, ARMv8/v9 ISA, and performance evaluation and optimization for ARM-based SoCs.
- Experience with C, C++, or ARM assembly; Linux or RTOS software or driver development; and open-source development tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and cross-functional hardware-software architecture skills.
- Understanding of RISC-V architecture fundamentals is a plus.
