Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and launch high-scale, highly available software services.
- Build cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Apply data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts to solve complex engineering problems.
- Build observability capabilities using tracing, metrics, logging, monitoring, and operational diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous service improvement.
- Partner with engineering teams on requirements, resilient technical solutions, design reviews, and production launches.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, testing, maintainable implementation patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Support front-end development when required, including work with React or similar frameworks.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, delivery speed, and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, software development, or related technical roles building and supporting production applications or services.
- At least 3 years of experience developing scalable services with Java, .NET, or similar programming languages.
- Experience designing and launching high-scale, highly available services with strong performance, resilience, and operational quality.
- Experience with cloud development and architecture using AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis or similar caching technologies, and relational or NoSQL databases in distributed systems environments.
- Experience building observability capabilities including metrics, tracing, logging, and service monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.
- Front-end development experience with React or similar modern web frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, financial services or payments, design reviews, code quality improvements, and production readiness practices is preferred.
