Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic customers to understand their agent architectures, failure modes, workflows, and product goals.
- Design and build custom RL environments, evaluation harnesses, and verifiers for customer domains.
- Architect agent scaffolding for tool use, multi-step reasoning, memory, and sandbox execution.
- Configure and launch training runs on Lab while iterating on reward functions, rollout strategies, and evaluation criteria.
- Lead technical engagements end to end, from discovery through deployed and improved models.
- Codify engagement patterns into reference implementations, templates, documentation, examples, and recipes.
- Provide customer feedback that shapes Lab, verifiers, the Environments Hub, and training infrastructure.
- Develop evaluation methodologies and agent harnesses for real-world tasks, and contribute to technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, and case studies.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience building, evaluating, or deploying LLM-based agents in the past 1–2 years.
- Strong intuition for evaluation design, including measurement, rubric construction, and reward-signal analysis.
- Working understanding of RL and post-training concepts including GRPO, RLHF, reward modeling, and SFT.
- Strong Python skills and comfort with the modern AI stack, including Hugging Face, inference engines, and agent frameworks.
- Experience in a customer-facing or consulting-adjacent technical role, or as a technical founder.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort operating with ambiguity.
- Preferred: experience with DSPy, LangGraph, MCP, Stagehand, browser automation, or large-scale LLM evaluation pipelines.
- Preferred: research experience through publications, open-source contributions, or ML/RL/agent benchmarks.
- Preferred: familiarity with sandbox or code-execution environments for agent evaluation.
- Preferred: React, TypeScript, and Next.js experience for demos and customer-facing tooling.
