Responsibilities
- Own the design and operation of production-grade intelligent systems using real-time signals and AI-driven detection.
- Lead development of agentic AI systems using foundation models for automated reasoning, decisioning, and predictive modeling.
- Build end-to-end pipelines that process high-volume telemetry and user signals into automated insights and root cause analysis.
- Design and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that provide explainability and predictive signals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed intelligence into incident response and release validation workflows.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and promote engineering excellence.
- Drive innovation in observability and developer productivity through applied AI.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of applicable backend development experience building and scaling AI-powered or data-driven applications.
- Advanced experience with GPT-4/o1, Claude Opus/Sonnet, and Bedrock, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and agentic workflows using LangChain or LangGraph.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience deploying and monitoring ML systems with PyTorch or TensorFlow and processing large-scale data with PySpark or Pandas in production.
- Strong experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes at scale.
- Experience leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting software development best practices.
- Expertise with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude.
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring systems for high-volume, low-latency production environments is preferred.
- Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Conviva, and MongoDB handling billions of events is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design patterns is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain complex AI and technical concepts to technical and non-technical partners.
