Responsibilities
- Extend the existing game engine to improve its functionality and performance.
- Implement and fine-tune real-time shaders, dynamic lighting, and post-processing effects.
- Develop new tools and improve existing tools within the current toolchain.
- Identify rendering performance bottlenecks and optimize games for target frame rates.
- Collaborate with game designers and artists to align functionality with design requirements.
- Contribute to technical specifications and software architecture documentation.
- Communicate project progress and risks to leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in real-time graphics or rendering development for games.
- Experience with 3D mathematics, algorithms, GPU architectures, and graphics APIs such as Metal, Vulkan, or DirectX.
- Experience profiling and optimizing rendering performance on iOS and Android.
- Expertise in C++ and mastery of at least one shader language such as HLSL or GLSL.
- Hands-on experience developing an in-house game engine or modifying a commercial game engine such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Ability to collaborate with art, design, and QA teams.
