Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and drive customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide technical mentorship to other Solutions Consulting team members and relay field feedback to the product team.
- Continue product and industry training, including MongoDB, Atlas, cloud platforms, modern architectures, and generative AI.
Requirements
- Ideally 8 to 11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures and recommending technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technical and business leaders.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate resources around multi-threaded account strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers is desirable.
- Experience with database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, and legacy-system modernization is desirable.
- Understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is desirable.
- MongoDB Certification or Cloud Provider Certification is desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
