Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical personnel and stakeholders to finalize software and product requirements.
- Develop detailed specifications and translate moderately complex requirements into software designs.
- Implement software, coding best practices, unit tests, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, complete bug fixes, and support multiple development environments.
- Configure and support Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure cloud services.
- Optimize performance and contribute to Java upgrades, technology migrations, Kafka/EventHub, Databricks, and Python initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Java experience, including required Java 8 experience; Java 11 or Java 21 experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, microservices, Hibernate, JPA, and Cosmos DB.
- Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions, and Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Kafka/EventHub and strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Java migration experience, Databricks, and Python are preferred.
