Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend services for AI usage metering, reporting, billing integrations, and model availability.
  • Design data pipelines and event-driven systems that process usage and product data at scale.
  • Develop cloud-native services and distributed systems using C# and AWS services.
  • Create integrations across AI, product, data, billing, and platform systems.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, scalable technical patterns, and event-driven data infrastructure.
  • Own service reliability, operational health, production support, observability, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Investigate production issues and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Product, AI, Business Intelligence, Finance, Platform Engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Support engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical knowledge sharing.
  • Take ownership from requirements through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade systems.
  • Strong experience building distributed backend services using C# or a comparable backend language.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure and modern cloud-native backend architecture patterns.
  • Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, event-driven systems, or analytics infrastructure.
  • Experience designing and operating reliable production services.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, product, data, or other technical teams.
  • Preferred experience with billing, metering, usage tracking, rate-limiting, product analytics, instrumentation, or usage-based data systems.
  • Preferred experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, S3, Snowflake, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Preferred experience connecting product usage data with commercial or billing workflows.
