Base Salary

$181k - $271k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Create software and firmware test plans with requirements traceability and test coverage.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software and firmware test suites for functional, integration, and system-level verification.
  • Perform manual testing of installation and deployment customer experiences across mobile, compute, and automotive environments.
  • Help establish quality engineering and release engineering processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
  • Support production software readiness through customer use cases, workload analysis, workload creation, bring-up, debug, and diagnostics.
  • Evaluate operating-system and customer usage environments for power, performance, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with software, hardware, architecture, and test engineering teams to validate platform requirements and features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 6+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree and 5+ years or a PhD and 4+ years.
  • 3+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 8+ years of software or firmware validation experience preferred.
  • At least 5 years of software test engineering experience focused on data center servers preferred.
  • Strong experience with software and firmware test automation techniques.
  • Experience with Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, similar operating systems, or Windows Server.
  • Strong C and/or Python programming skills and experience developing automated test cases for server platforms.
  • Experience supporting server-platform bring-up and production software releases.
  • Experience with BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, and operating-system integration for x86, ARM64, or RISC-V 64-bit server platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of server firmware standards, open-source implementations, and specifications for ARM64-based servers is preferred.
