Base Salary
$146k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own substantial full-stack software components and drive technical projects from ambiguous goals to production-ready systems.
- Design and evolve software products, APIs, and data pipelines supporting real-time fleet operations and operator workflows.
- Balance short-term MVP delivery with scalable long-term architecture while coordinating dependencies and estimates.
- Guide team practices for code quality, testing, performance optimization, documentation, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Advise interdisciplinary operations, autonomy, and cloud infrastructure partners and serve as a subject matter expert for core components.
- Identify bottlenecks and independently improve code quality, performance, and system reliability.
- Advocate for and integrate shared technologies and infrastructure while onboarding and advising teammates.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of industry software development experience delivering key components of large-scale full-stack systems.
- Hands-on proficiency across the full software lifecycle, including core systems, architecture, client-facing applications, and data storage.
- Experience designing, refactoring, and maintaining REST and gRPC APIs and microservices.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable technical plans and execute independently.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience translating operational requirements into software abstractions.
- Preferred experience with real-time distributed systems, fleet management platforms, command-and-control software, or logistics/IoT tracking.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure or deployment tooling.
- Exposure to onboard vehicle software or C++ codebases is desirable.
