Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain stable, performant, and scalable distributed software systems.
- Apply appropriate design approaches, technologies, and best practices while making sound architecture and implementation trade-offs.
- Improve software, engineering processes, operational excellence, reliability, and resource usage.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, team planning, and ticket and metric reviews.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, peers, engineers, and applied scientists on project ideas and solutions.
- Mentor and train new team members on software construction, operation, security, and system context.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
