Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
- Write high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
- Use software development lifecycle tools, automation capabilities, and authorized AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: UI development experience using JavaScript and React JS.
