Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency electronic trading platforms.
- Analyze trading system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Generate and implement system enhancements that improve commercial performance.
- Test and deploy trading-system changes.
- Improve the safety and reliability of trading systems.
- Balance short-term business needs with strategic platform enhancements.
- Understand global market structure, regulations, and exchange requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and sales and trading teams on execution, pricing, and risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Understanding of multithreaded application design and development and experience with lock-free data structures.
- Professional experience working with distributed systems.
- Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture, caches, memory subsystems, and micro-optimizations.
- Experience with low-latency messaging, TCP/UDP tuning, and Linux latency tuning is preferred.
- Experience with low-latency trading platforms is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
