Base Salary
$98k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, low-latency, resilient solutions for the Autoship platform.
- Build and support frontend and backend applications, distributed microservices, event systems, APIs, data pipelines, and operational services.
- Create and deploy prototype applications and infrastructure supporting standardization, optimization, automation, and Autoship operations.
- Own major Autoship platform components across development and operational needs.
- Review code and implementations and provide feedback to improve prototype quality.
- Write code, debug complex issues, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.
- Establish working relationships across organizational and functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building modern JavaScript applications and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- At least 2 years of software development experience with scalable distributed microservice applications using Java, JavaScript, or Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
- Strong hands-on coding and debugging experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Preferred experience includes e-commerce, Scrum or XP, Terraform or Ansible, infrastructure and virtualization, large-scale data analysis or mining, TypeScript, GraphQL, Jest, Cypress, and AWS.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $97,500–$160,000.
- Eligible positions may receive 401(k), new-hire and annual equity grants, and annual bonuses for applicable C08+ positions.
