Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy Python-based AWS Lambda functions for serverless data engineering and authentication workflows.
- Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using AWS API Gateway and related services.
- Customize Amazon Cognito user pools and Lambda triggers for authentication, MFA, and token management.
- Develop React-based frontends for onboarding, authentication, and data presentation.
- Build data pipelines for ingestion, normalization, and enrichment using external APIs, webhooks, and event streams.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Provision and manage cloud resources including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, databases, caches, and queues.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Apply security practices including encryption, PII protection, compliance controls, and audit logging.
- Integrate Amazon Connect with backend systems for customer engagement.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of development experience, including 3+ years focused on AWS serverless and data engineering environments.
- Strong Python proficiency for backend Lambda development.
- Strong JavaScript, Node.js, and React experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, EventBridge, and S3.
- Experience customizing Cognito flows with Lambda triggers, including pre-signup, authentication, and MFA.
- Experience building data engineering pipelines for ingestion, normalization, and enrichment through APIs and webhooks.
- Experience managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or CloudFormation and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, encryption, and compliance best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include Amazon Connect integration, Docker, ECS, EKS, AWS Developer Associate or similar certification, and Agile/Scrum or DevOps experience.
- Nice-to-have experience includes AWS SageMaker, Comprehend, Lex, Zendesk APIs, and customer-service platform integrations.
