Base Salary

$89k - $193k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, high-performance Cloud-hosted APIs and backend services.
  • Implement scalable Cloud data-ingestion and data-processing pipeline components for large objects such as images, videos, and STL files.
  • Build systems that invoke AI models to summarize and analyze clinical and operational data.
  • Contribute to front-end implementation of Web applications.
  • Perform code reviews and uphold coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.
  • Implement automated unit tests and integration testing.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions to benchmark and validate backend Cloud architecture approaches.
  • Debug and troubleshoot distributed systems and translate functional requirements into backend components.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA testers, mobile, XR, Web, and desktop engineers, product security, regulatory teams, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience writing maintainable and testable code in modern programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.
  • Experience developing backend services and APIs hosted in the Cloud using PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across distributed systems.
  • Experience with Single Page Application frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Preferred experience implementing and working with Docker containers.
  • Preferred familiarity with security considerations and protocols such as OAuth and SSL/TLS.
  • Preferred exposure to regulated environments or medical device software.

  • Annual base-pay ranges vary by U.S. work location from $89,300 to $193,400.
  • Travel expectation is 10%.
