Base Salary

$79k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable components of distributed systems using distributed state management and data-plane platforms.
  • Optimize systems for large-scale data processing, retrieval, storage, performance, and availability.
  • Build fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, and recovery-oriented design.
  • Develop functional, performance, load, fault-injection, and brown-out tests.
  • Create alarms, dashboards, telemetry, alerting, runbooks, and operational procedures to detect and recover from failures.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues, participate in support rotations and incident response, and conduct root-cause investigations.
  • Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code tooling for troubleshooting and cloud infrastructure maintenance.
  • Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, compliance practices, and change-management procedures.
  • Track work with minimal supervision, collaborate across teams, and contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing.
