Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices and define versioned API contracts with consistent error handling.
- Implement event-driven architectures, high-performance data-access layers, integration layers, and administrative user interfaces.
- Develop React and TypeScript UI components and validate complete UI-to-API-to-database-to-events flows.
- Ensure transaction safety, idempotency, error recovery, observability, security by design, and production-grade reliability.
- Use AI coding assistants for coding, refactoring, debugging, documentation, and test generation while reviewing and hardening their output.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, and Agile delivery.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues using observability tools such as Dynatrace.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, clarify requirements, drive design discussions, and promote consistent engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software development experience in product or enterprise environments.
- A degree or equivalent and strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST API design, and microservices architecture.
- At least 2–3 years of experience with React.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Postgres, plus Hibernate/JPA ORM tools.
- Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka, caching systems such as Redis, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
- Strong debugging, production issue analysis, written and verbal communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants and the ability to validate, review, and production-harden AI-generated code.
- Healthcare domain experience and familiarity with FHIR, HL7, C-CDA, HIPAA compliance, and PHI/PII handling are preferred.
- Experience with Databricks, data pipelines, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker, or Kubernetes is preferred.
