Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for modern engineering platforms and align architecture, delivery plans, and success metrics with business outcomes.
- Lead multiple technology implementations across teams while ensuring enterprise standards for quality, reliability, and security.
- Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to set priorities, manage trade-offs, and build consensus.
- Lead complex cross-product programs through operating rhythms, accountability, and transparent progress reporting.
- Mentor engineers and senior technical contributors while raising engineering standards through coaching and influence.
- Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices, including AI-assisted code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident/root-cause analysis.
- Apply software development lifecycle tooling and approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities to increase engineering productivity.
- Build an inclusive engineering culture focused on collaboration, continuous learning, and shared ownership.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the end-to-end design and delivery of complex software systems, including architecture, development, testing, and operational readiness.
- Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and application programming interfaces.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude and coaching teams to adopt them.
- Experience designing and deploying production agentic systems, including LLM-powered agents, multi-step reasoning workflows, or tool-using AI.
- Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance digital applications using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience implementing security practices and technology controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant usage controls.
- Preferred experience leading engineering culture transformations, adopting modern development workflows, building developer platforms or paved-road capabilities, and delivering governed, observable LLM solutions with human-in-the-loop validation.
