Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure for web, mobile, and big data applications.
- Scale and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, along with web servers, application frameworks, caches, and distributed messaging systems.
- Automate deployment and configuration of virtualized infrastructure and the software stack.
- Plan and maintain backup and restoration policies targeting low RTO and RPO.
- Support Linux servers running the SaaS platform across AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud.
- Build processes to identify performance bottlenecks and scaling risks.
- Manage monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
- Explore tools and automate daily development operations tasks.
- Ensure high availability and automated failover with minimal manual intervention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience designing and maintaining high-volume, scalable microservices architecture on cloud infrastructure.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and Python or shell scripting experience.
- Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, including AWS EC2, ELB, S3, Auto Scaling, VPC, and Lambda.
- Experience with deployment automation and continuous integration and deployment tools including Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, and GitLab.
- Experience with monitoring tools including Zabbix, CloudWatch Monitoring, and Nagios.
- Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, microservices architecture, and caching mechanisms.
- Experience with query analysis, performance tuning, and database redesign.
- Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance, and operations.
- Knowledge of IT operations and best practices for always-up, highly available services.
- Excellent written and oral communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
