Responsibilities
- Enhance the existing land-use planning decisions database and transform it into an effective web mapping application.
- Improve data retrieval speed and application performance across the existing IT infrastructure.
- Create interactive Power BI reports and dashboards and integrate Power BI with ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Explore Azure Maps capabilities and develop related cloud-based mapping processes.
- Create and maintain data and metadata management automation scripts and batch processes using federal metadata tools, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Python, R, and SQL.
- Analyze and improve data processing and infrastructure involving ArcGIS Server, SDE, ArcGIS Portal, and ESRI Experience Applications.
- Develop and improve Power BI applications for accessing data and producing geospatial analysis reports.
- Engage users and stakeholders and provide technical documentation, training, and customer support.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with enterprise GIS and business intelligence.
- Power BI administration and development experience.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Knowledge of metadata and data governance, cloud integration, Azure services, database optimization, and data architecture.
- Knowledge of information security and compliance, technical documentation and training, stakeholder engagement, and customer support.
- Experience with geospatial analysis and cartographic production.
- A bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five years of application development experience preferred.
- Preferred experience supporting federal land-use planning, environmental management, or natural resource programs.
- Preferred knowledge of federal geospatial policies, standards, and mission-support systems.
- Preferred experience with Azure Maps vector tiles, routing, geocoding, spatial operations, and cloud-based mapping services.
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technology guidance for federal environmental, planning, and geospatial programs.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
