Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for major cross-team initiatives on the DNS platform.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Senior and Principal Engineers.
- Drive the evolution of the platform’s architecture in line with product and business goals.
- Lead design reviews, RFCs, and technical deep dives to ensure high standards.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering Management to shape technical roadmaps.
- Anticipate and address systemic issues such as scalability bottlenecks and reliability gaps.
- Act as a senior escalation point for critical production incidents.
- Evaluate and champion key technologies and drive their adoption.
Requirements
- Significant industry experience in software engineering at Senior/Principal Engineer level.
- Deep expertise in core tech stack including Java and/or Go, REST/gRPC APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of DNS and networking fundamentals is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design and evolve complex systems with clear trade-offs.
- Experience leading multi-team initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
