Base Salary
$154k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve full-stack RUM features across frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, and storage systems.
- Design systems that ingest, store, and query high-volume, high-cardinality telemetry using columnar and analytical databases.
- Develop performant query layers and APIs for real-time exploration of sessions, traces, and events.
- Build frontend applications and data-heavy interfaces that visualize RUM data and help users debug performance and understand behavior.
- Own data modeling, indexing, query optimization, deployment, monitoring, documentation, testing, and upgrade paths.
- Collaborate with browser and mobile SDK engineers on data ingestion and schema evolution.
- Work with backend, frontend, product, and solutions engineering teams and contribute to technical design and the RUM roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong frontend fundamentals.
- Experience with TypeScript and React; Go backend experience is preferred.
- Experience building or operating distributed production systems, with examples including Kafka, WarpStream, Apache Pinot, ClickHouse, Cassandra, and Postgres.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with high-throughput, high-cardinality telemetry data and with data modeling, query optimization, APIs, and distributed services.
- Experience building data-heavy UIs such as dashboards, query tools, or debugging interfaces.
- Familiarity with observability concepts and/or OpenTelemetry.
- Strong communication, customer focus, developer-experience orientation, self-direction, and comfort working remotely through ambiguity.
- Bonus qualifications include browser or mobile instrumentation, iOS or Android development, OpenTelemetry contributions, developer-facing platforms, observability products, session replay, sampling strategies, or user behavior analytics systems.
