
Lead Software Engineer - Corelation

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of complex Corelation KeyStone solutions.
- Develop KeyStone batch scripts, CDR/interface integrations, and reports based on team focus areas.
- Build and consume APIs connecting KeyStone with external systems and fintech partners.
- Translate business needs and product requirements into technical solutions with minimal supervision.
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers and provide guidance to vendors, IT teams, and business divisions.
- Perform code, merge, design, and documentation reviews and maintain technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Diagnose complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, database administrators, quality assurance, and business teams.
- Support product backlog refinement and prioritization and help drive the product development lifecycle.
- Provide level 2 support and serve as an on-call responder for supported software outside normal business hours as needed.
- Assess and manage application, network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity risks.
- Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer and Information Systems, or two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- At least five years of relevant IT engineering leadership experience.
- Hands-on Corelation KeyStone development experience, including batch scripting, CDR/interface development, or report development.
- Experience building and consuming APIs for third-party integrations.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, custom reporting, audit support, regulatory reporting, and member data queries.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering or applications teams.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, XML, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency with GitHub or equivalent version-control tools.
- Experience with code reviews, code merges, design reviews, relational databases, and large data sets.
- Ability to explain solution architecture and technology choices to enterprise architects and senior leadership.
- Experience assessing and managing technology and cybersecurity risks.
- Familiarity with credit union operations and core system concepts such as shares, loans, ACH, and GL.
- Preferred experience writing reliable, testable, maintainable, and performant code in large enterprise programs, preferably in financial services.
- Preferred experience developing for high availability and scalability and managing multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, coaching, and mentoring skills.
