Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable IAM services and APIs for identity lifecycle, access requests, entitlement management, role management, and access certifications.
- Develop privileged access management capabilities including credential vaulting and rotation, session control, secrets management, and just-in-time access.
- Model and govern non-human identities such as service accounts, agents, workloads, and machine credentials.
- Build full-stack features, backend services, and modern web front ends for self-service and administrative IAM experiences.
- Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform while monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production services.
- Integrate identity sources, directories, and downstream applications using SCIM, REST, and event-driven patterns.
- Embed separation of duties, least privilege, audit controls, SOX, NIST, and SOC 2 requirements into the platform.
- Write secure, maintainable production code; participate in design and code reviews; and champion secure SDLC practices.
- Design significant features, mentor junior engineers, create technical documentation and runbooks, and drive technical direction.
- Develop AI-agent controls and agentic workflows, maintain shared system context, and evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, security, quality, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience building distributed systems in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments.
- Full-stack development proficiency with strong backend skills in Java, Go, and/or Python and front-end experience with modern frameworks such as React.
- Understanding of IAM, identity governance and lifecycle, authentication, authorization, RBAC, entitlement models, and privileged access management.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, REST APIs, JSON/XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker; Kubernetes; Terraform; CI/CD; and source control such as Git or Jenkins.
- Experience with DevOps practices, monitoring, secure coding, defensive programming, debugging, and ownership of high-availability production systems.
- AI-first engineering experience, including use of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in development workflows.
- Advanced prompt-engineering skills and ability to create structured prompts and reliable system context for secure, production-ready AI outputs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience integrating AI or agentic capabilities into IAM workflows, working with globally distributed teams and large enterprises, and familiarity with SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, or Active Directory/Entra ID.
