Base Salary
$175k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale backend and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Architect and build scalable, resilient backend infrastructure for distributed training and inference.
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers.
- Drive infrastructure optimization initiatives for compute cost and network performance.
- Collaborate with machine learning, DevOps, and product teams to create robust infrastructure solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate cloud-native technologies to enhance platform reliability.
- Own end-to-end systems from design to deployment, ensuring reliability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus four years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience designing and optimizing large-scale backend infrastructure and distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in major server-side programming languages and frameworks such as Python, C++, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience developing and maintaining data processing and API systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-native tools and infrastructure, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience conducting A/B testing and scientific experimentation.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and writing technical design documentation.
