Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale distributed and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Build modern user experiences and backend services for credit-card application, decisioning, provisioning, and usage workflows.
- Own deployment and production support for platform services developed by the team.
- Provide technical leadership across teams, including architecture, platform roadmaps, shared-services strategy, and technical standards.
- Mentor engineers and drive professional development within technical teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based customer experiences.
- Use observability and reliability practices to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Lead architectural design reviews and cross-functional engineering efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, applying observability and reliability practices, and leading architectural design reviews.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, enterprise technology strategy, coding standards, design patterns, and large-scale technical initiatives.
