Base Salary
$86k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade artificial intelligence-powered developer tools for support engineers.
- Own architecture for agent orchestration, structured outputs, multi-agent reasoning, intelligent chat workflows, and structured data collection.
- Modernize mission-critical applications, integrate Copilot and large language model capabilities, transform authentication and cloud integrations, and support continuous delivery.
- Resolve highly complex, cross-technology customer scenarios and provide technical analysis to engineering teams for incident resolution.
- Mentor Technical Support Engineers on AI-assisted troubleshooting, case quality, case direction, and learning opportunities.
- Drive process improvements, automation, customer feedback loops, product-group feedback, readiness materials, training, and knowledge management.
- Review technical solutions for security impact, respond to security events, promote Security by Design and Secure Future Initiative practices, and protect customer data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting, or information technology experience, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 3+ years of full-time professional software development experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production code.
- Alternatively, a master's degree in Computer Science plus 4+ years of full-time professional software development experience and 5+ years of technical engineering experience with coding.
- Professional experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Experience or capability in production AI systems, application modernization, technical troubleshooting, mentoring, security, and cross-team collaboration is relevant to the role.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $86,100-$169,800 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of $113,300-$187,400 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
- Employment requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
