Responsibilities
- Develop and commercialize ML solutions such as the Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK on Qualcomm SoCs.
- Develop software features for Qualcomm’s machine-learning stack.
- Port AI/ML solutions to multiple platforms and optimize performance across CPU, GPU, and NPU accelerators.
- Deploy and manage large C/C++ dependency stacks using software engineering best practices.
- Enhance the solution from both software-engineering and machine-learning perspectives.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions affecting work beyond the immediate group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong C and C++ development skills and experience with embedded-systems development or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of processor architecture, operating-system concepts, and system-design fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across globally diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include object-oriented development, design patterns, Linux kernel or driver development, AI hardware optimization, linear algebra, fast-math libraries, floating-point and fixed-point representations, quantization, and parallel computing with OpenCL or CUDA.
