Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of an AI-native observability and incident management service for Amazon’s global Customer Service network.
- Build and develop a high-performing engineering team through hiring assistance and mentorship of software development engineers.
- Architect real-time signal detection and observability systems that identify network risks and anomalies before customer impact.
- Deliver autonomous incident response and recovery capabilities using intelligent, real-time intervention.
- Partner with Applied Science teams to integrate ML models for anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and closed-loop learning.
- Drive technical roadmaps from proof of concept through production while balancing delivery speed and architectural quality.
- Collaborate with Network Solutions and partner teams to integrate platform capabilities into the broader Customer Service ecosystem.
- Establish production operational excellence practices, including on-call, incident response, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
