Responsibilities
- Build and operate distributed, large-scale, cloud-based infrastructure using modern open-source software.
- Use automation to improve repeatability, eliminate toil, reduce mean time to detection and resolution, and repair services.
- Perform root cause analysis and post-mortems focused on preventing future incidents.
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines.
- Create monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions for application performance and business metrics.
- Produce documentation and support tooling for online support teams.
- Support the full product lifecycle, including architecture and delivery assistance, on-call incident response, and triage.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with virtualization, containerization, cloud computing, Kubernetes, or Docker, with AWS preferred.
- 7+ years of experience supporting high-availability, production-grade infrastructure and applications with defined SLIs and SLOs.
- Systems administration experience with a strong understanding of Linux.
- Networking experience, including understanding of standard protocols and components.
- Automation and orchestration experience with Terraform, Helm, Chef, Puppet, and Packer.
- Experience writing code in Python, Golang, or Java.
- Experience working with distributed systems.
