Base Salary

$154k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Guide ISV architecture decisions across compute, data, networking, identity, and databases.
  • Run discovery with ISV engineering and product teams and recommend architecture paths based on platform constraints and customer requirements.
  • Lead generative AI initiatives on Amazon Bedrock, including agentic patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, guardrails, evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Build prototypes and reference implementations and help ISVs turn AI prototypes into production systems.
  • Help modernize legacy platforms onto AWS using phased strategies such as strangler fig, replatforming, and domain decomposition.
  • Advise on compliance-driven architecture for CJIS, StateRAMP, FedRAMP, HIPAA, and data residency requirements.
  • Communicate architecture recommendations and trade-offs to ISV CTOs, engineering leaders, and government CIOs.
  • Help ISVs adopt AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro and Amazon Q Developer.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions, systems, networks, and operating systems, or an AWS Professional-level certification.
  • Experience facilitating senior-leadership discussions about technical and architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience leading engineering discussions about technology decisions and product strategy.
  • Experience with data and AI technologies, including AI/ML, generative AI, analytics, databases, and/or storage.
  • Experience designing and building applications with container and serverless technologies.
  • Preferred: experience working with enterprise software companies.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
