Responsibilities
- Own engineering delivery for an assigned portion of the software solution.
- Design, implement, deliver, and operate scalable cloud services for digital media production.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, managers, and other Oracle teams to deliver features and launch new cloud services.
- Identify and resolve risks and issues that could affect execution.
- Provide technical direction to other team members.
- Develop a long-term technical roadmap for the solution area.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering work experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in one or more of Java, C#, Golang, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Understanding of customer-facing microservice-based and tiered architectures, virtualization, containerization, and REST API interfaces.
- Preferred experience building highly available, high-traffic distributed services and using service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
- Preferred experience with public cloud services from Oracle, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Media production workflow experience, including digital asset management, 3D frameworks, universal scene description, scene graphs, rendering workflows, and related production tools, is a plus.
