Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Octopus Energy ES and global teams to develop and integrate features for the website and mobile app.
- Own and contribute to product modules covering the private area, bill management, saving sessions, customer onboarding, and marketing dashboards.
- Build and deliver backend code that directly impacts customers in a fast-paced MVP-focused environment.
- Lead complex technical issues from concept through production while working in a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience building backend applications with Python.
- Solid experience with Django or equivalent robust web frameworks.
- Deep understanding of domain modeling and software architecture.
- Strong expertise designing and integrating GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Proven ability to write robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable software.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous task processing.
- Strong experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Fluent spoken English for daily work in an international team.
- Cloud and infrastructure experience with AWS, Terraform, Packer, or Consul is preferred.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, and DataDog is preferred.
