Base Salary
$127k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend microservices and APIs for Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage, and Home Warranty workflows.
- Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks such as React and deliver full-stack features end to end.
- Work independently on small to mid-sized components and collaborate with senior engineers on complex technical designs.
- Improve operational metrics and monitoring and participate in team on-call rotations.
- Write secure, stable, maintainable, and well-tested code while preventing regressions and technical debt.
- Become a subject matter expert on internal components or tools and mentor incoming software engineering interns.
- Participate in code reviews, team planning, design discussions, and Agile team workflows.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience developing well-tested, high-performance applications.
- Strong backend engineering skills with proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Practical experience with frontend technologies, ideally TypeScript and React, and willingness to handle full-stack challenges.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and implementation trade-offs.
- Experience building and consuming gRPC or REST APIs and working with microservice architectures.
- Familiarity with AWS, event-driven systems such as Kafka, and modern CI/CD tooling is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of software testing practices and tools such as Jest, Cypress, or equivalent backend testing frameworks.
- Ability to execute independently on straightforward technical problems, collaborate effectively, and seek guidance when facing ambiguity.
- Practical experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools such as ClaudeCode or GitHub Copilot.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
