Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
  • Partner with sales on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and drive customer success and satisfaction.
  • Improve MongoDB solutions and processes, relay field feedback to the product team, and mentor Solutions Consulting team members.
  • Participate in ongoing product and professional development.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience reviewing complex application architectures and advising customers on technology improvements.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technology and business leadership.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional sales teams across the full deal cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Experience with major cloud providers, technical pre-sales, database programming, data models, data engineering, or AI/ML projects is advantageous.
  • MongoDB or cloud provider certification is advantageous.
