Base Salary
$86k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead test strategy, planning, execution governance, quality reporting, and release-readiness assessments.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions and frameworks.
- Drive end-to-end quality strategy across multiple applications and business domains.
- Integrate testing and quality engineering practices into CI/CD processes.
- Define test data, test environment, and quality governance strategies.
- Identify and manage testing risks, defects, resource gaps, and environment gaps.
- Prepare test summary reports and documentation for technology leaders, governance and risk teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical direction, make architectural decisions, establish testing standards and metrics, and mentor QE talent.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, QE analysts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing through Quality Engineer community-of-practice meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience is typically required.
- Strong expertise in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-quality testing solutions.
- Experience leading engineering teams, providing technical direction, and driving testing best practices.
- Proficiency with Python and Java and experience with modern automation frameworks.
- Experience making architectural decisions and managing end-to-end project delivery.
- Knowledge of test strategy, test planning, application testing, software quality assurance, test case development, usability testing, and controls testing.
- Ability to manage testing risks and defects, produce quality reports, and communicate with business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, coaching, influencing, process management, technical documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
- Certifications are often desired, but no certification or license is required.
