Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive program-level decisions for RF system designs
- Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems
- Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches using laboratory equipment
- Develop modular, scalable RF test infrastructure and Python and C++ test automation for design validation, qualification, and production
- Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, software engineers, and end users to design and validate RF systems
- Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline
- At least one year of professional development experience in C/C++ or Python
- At least one year of professional experience using radio test equipment including spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers
- At least one year of professional RF experience with antennas or communication systems
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline is preferred
- Experience testing active and passive RF devices such as filters, amplifiers, mixers, and upconverters/downconverters is preferred
- Knowledge of RF concepts including gain, linearity, P1dB, ACLR, EVM, PAE, S-parameters, and input/output matching is preferred
- Experience with software design principles, software architecture, design patterns, and unit/integration testing is preferred
- Experience with environmental test methodologies and equipment such as thermal chambers and temperature forcing systems is preferred
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware interactions, including network devices and laboratory instrumentation, is preferred
- Experience using Windows and Linux operating systems and configuration management and version control software is preferred
- An active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one is preferred
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements and be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
