Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain tools for service reliability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure services are designed with reliability in mind.
- Identify and drive implementation of improvements for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Work with infrastructure engineers to develop tools addressing operational challenges.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortems to address systemic issues.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and best practices for SRE tooling.
- Maintain an understanding of critical site components and processes.
- Lead high-urgency incidents and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software engineering or SRE roles.
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Go).
- Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong conviction in software development best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (Professional Level).
