Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile methodology.
- Design and take accountability for technical solutions and architecture.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Mentor other technical team members.
- Ensure designs follow specifications and review procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and quality analysts.
- Document components and methodologies as required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Java experience.
- At least 5 years of relational database and SQL experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with REST APIs, microservices, databases, unit testing, version control, and Agile methodology.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka and Redpanda messaging platforms.
- Strong English speaking and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate and justify technical designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- University qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline, or a strong GitHub portfolio showcasing recent projects.
- Professionalism, accountability, adaptability, communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
