Base Salary
$195k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain client-facing and internal APIs.
- Architect and orchestrate data flows across back-end services, applications, and third-party systems.
- Design and manage database schemas and scalable data-storage solutions.
- Lead complex product features from concept through deployment.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Evaluate, integrate, and support third-party services, tools, and platforms.
- Improve system architecture, performance, observability, security, and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 6–8 years of experience in back-end or full-stack software engineering roles.
- Working knowledge of Go and professional experience with Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or C#.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and deploying high-performance client/server systems for business-critical applications.
- Experience with database technologies and messaging systems, including evaluating and selecting solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and modern CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of software security principles, testing methodologies, and engineering best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective cross-team collaboration.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ownership of technical outcomes.
- Ability to mentor and support the growth of other engineers.
- Bonus familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, Postgres, Mongo, Snowflake, Kafka, Python, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience in insurance, banking, investing, or another financial sector is a bonus.
