Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, deploy, and optimize mission-critical enterprise applications using Python.
- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle activities from strategic planning and solution architecture through production optimization.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, conduct code reviews and design critiques, and enforce code quality standards.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, RESTful and gRPC APIs, and database solutions.
- Build and operate cloud-native applications using infrastructure-as-code, serverless computing, containers, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git workflows, observability, performance profiling, and troubleshooting practices.
- Apply secure coding principles, vulnerability mitigation, encryption, and secrets management.
- Develop and integrate machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI systems for software development and operational workflows.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, communicate with technical and executive stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in application development and systems architecture with a focus on Python.
- Expert proficiency in Python 3.x, asynchronous programming, concurrency, parallel processing, and enterprise software architecture.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django REST Framework, Flask, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Experience designing and optimizing RESTful and gRPC APIs, including OAuth2, JWT, idempotency, rate limiting, and error handling.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitOps, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, and Azure Functions.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Linkerd, CRDs, Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.
- Experience with Pytest, Hypothesis, Selenium, automated testing, performance optimization, secure coding, OWASP Top 10 mitigation, and Vault.
- Expertise in Gitflow, Trunk-Based Development, branching strategies, merging, and pull request automation.
- Experience with machine learning lifecycle activities using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with generative AI models, agentic AI systems, and AI development tools including GitHub Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, and Antigravity.
- Strong leadership, project management, stakeholder communication, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with Java, Go, Scala, Rust, Apache Spark, Flink, Hadoop, Kafka Streams, React.js, Angular, Vue.js, advanced cloud certifications, and financial-services regulations or domain knowledge.
