Base Salary
$130k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive analyses of systems to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Create and monitor meaningful performance metrics for service components.
- Advise engineering teams on scalable and performant feature design.
- Address critical scalability challenges such as sharding Postgres and Redis.
- Split ECS tasks into multiple services for independent scaling.
- Resolve Node event loop blockages.
Requirements
- Results-oriented mindset with a bias toward impact.
- Experience in API latency optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL and related technologies, preferably Postgres.
- Focus on performance aspects in previous roles.
- Experience in query optimization and schema design for relational databases.
- Expertise in Redis, Postgres, ElasticSearch, or Opensearch.
