Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and implement Java software for the distributed C2BMC Global system.
- Analyze and provide technical support for a large Java codebase, including design, integration, testing, debugging, and user support.
- Develop automation tools and troubleshoot performance and operational issues to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Interface with systems engineering, cyber, operations, integration and test, and development teams to resolve problems and improve system standards.
- Prepare technical documentation including design descriptions, test plans, test reports, and user support materials.
- Contribute to software design, benchmark testing, continuous improvement, and new system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of experience; a related master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or 9 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
- Current, active, in-scope government-issued Top Secret clearance at application, with eligibility to be read onto SCI clearance.
- Proficiency designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting Java applications in complex distributed environments.
- Experience developing software in a Unix/Linux environment and developing enterprise-scale applications.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing and debugging, server-side development, and message passing in distributed systems.
- Experience working on an Agile software development team and familiarity with Java Spring and related frameworks.
- Experience with Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, and Eclipse or similar IDEs.
- Understanding of Use Cases, UML diagrams, software engineering practices, coding standards, and structured development environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-work skills.
- Preferred qualifications include IAT Level II or higher certification, command and control or defense application experience, message translation and integration experience, and microservices deployment using containers.
