Responsibilities
- Build robust test infrastructure for automated regression testing of data science microservices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues across multiple environments.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and stability of automated test suites.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and high-impact test cases.
- Review product requirements for alignment with design and quality guidelines.
- Partner with software engineers and test engineers on end-to-end system testing and post-deployment validation.
- Identify, isolate, and document product defects and verify fixes through resolution.
- Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in a developer, SDET, or QA automation role.
- At least three years of coding experience in Python is preferred; Ruby, Bash, or JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Experience testing APIs and databases, with the ability to write and analyze SQL queries.
- Experience with testing frameworks, preferably Pytest.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana or New Relic.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud solutions.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA, and Postman.
- Background writing clean, stable, and maintainable code.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and automated testing approaches.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and short release cycles.
- Familiarity with performance testing and related tools is a bonus.
- Familiarity with data science concepts and testing machine learning models is a bonus.
- Experience with Kafka, Groundcover, Sentry, or MLflow is a bonus.
- Understanding of the full application development lifecycle is a bonus.
