Base Salary

$60k - $80k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own approved customer projects from requirements clarification and solution design through scoping, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Build integrations, middleware, automations, extensions, and internal tooling using TypeScript/Node.js and Python, with agent-assisted work in Go and Rust.
  • Develop against APIs, webhooks, and integration surfaces while debugging issues across Onfleet and customer systems.
  • Communicate with customers throughout delivery, including setting expectations, reporting progress, handling scope questions, and explaining technical decisions.
  • Improve agentic development workflows and apply disciplined verification, code review, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Scope and ticket projects in Jira, estimate timelines, communicate proactively, and deliver within sprint cadences.
  • Support and troubleshoot deployed Solutions builds in production, including work authored by other engineers.
  • Identify recurring custom-build patterns and help turn them into repeatable product capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production-quality systems.
  • At least 2 years of professional TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js experience, plus working proficiency in Python.
  • Experience delivering software in cloud environments such as GCP and AWS.
  • Fluency with HTTP APIs and webhook-driven integrations, including designing, consuming, and debugging them across system boundaries.
  • Experience owning software features or projects through deployment and production support.
  • Customer-facing delivery experience translating requirements into solution designs and communicating through delivery.
  • Experience writing scoping or requirements documents for product or engineering review.
  • Experience delivering projects through a sprint cadence using Jira or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience with disciplined agentic software-development workflows and a questioning, quality-focused mindset.
  • Hands-on experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Experience creating, configuring, or troubleshooting CI pipelines, including GitHub Actions or an equivalent.
  • Experience working on an international team whose common language is English, with written and spoken English approximately equivalent to C1.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Prior Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Integration Engineer, or technical consulting experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to Go or Rust is preferred.
  • SQL and data-work proficiency, including reporting or analytics builds, is preferred.
  • Logistics, delivery, or last-mile domain experience is preferred.
