Responsibilities

  • Define and drive TMX’s enterprise Platform Engineering and Infrastructure as Code strategy using Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
  • Architect and implement datacenter technologies including PXE network booting, LDAP/DNS/DHCP identity services, and high-performance storage.
  • Establish architectural governance and automated security and compliance guardrails for highly available systems in a regulated financial environment.
  • Integrate Generative AI tools such as Copilot and Claude to improve engineering velocity, code development, and autonomous operations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for performance tuning, observability, and RedHat OS lifecycle management.
  • Provide technical oversight, design reviews, strategic direction, and mentoring to Systems and Automation Engineers.
  • Communicate complex technical strategies to executive stakeholders and promote consistent, high-quality engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and infrastructure automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant job experience in computer science or engineering.
  • Deep expertise in self-hosted physical datacenters and RedHat Linux, including PXE, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, LVM/XFS, host firewalls, SSH, and performance tuning.
  • Proven experience defining and executing large-scale Infrastructure as Code strategies with Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
  • Expertise with OpenShift Container Platform/Virtualization, VMware, RedHat Satellite, NetApp, PURE Storage, and Portworx.
  • Experience architecting and using Splunk Observability/Cloud and Grafana.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and hands-on experience using Generative AI tools such as Copilot and Claude for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong enterprise communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience with AWS, vector databases such as Pinecone or Milvus, MLOps, capital markets or regulated industries, and RedHat, AWS, or VMware certifications is preferred.
