Base Salary
$177k - $294k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, document, and ship production-grade full-stack software across languages and frameworks.
- Integrate agentic AI, LLM capabilities, and RAG pipelines into deployed Medical Affairs products and services.
- Take validated prototypes and MVPs through production-grade, scalable systems while applying engineering quality gates.
- Verify and review AI-generated code with the same rigor as human-written code.
- Design and optimize prompts, context usage, model selection, and agent workflows for token efficiency, cost, latency, and output quality.
- Monitor and troubleshoot AI/ML components, including model performance, drift, and reliability issues.
- Integrate enterprise systems including Veeva CRM, PromoMats, and Salesforce Life Sciences and Marketing Cloud as required.
- Partner with Solution Architecture, Data Integration Engineering, Product Management, UX/Experience Design, and Scrum leadership to deliver software and identify technical trade-offs.
- Resolve technical debt and contribute to documentation, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering practice improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping production software across the full stack using multiple languages and frameworks.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM capabilities into production systems and taking prototypes or MVPs to scalable production.
- Experience with modern cloud architecture using AWS or Azure, API-first design, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and strong code verification and review discipline.
- Experience designing and optimizing LLM or agent prompts and workflows for production-scale cost, latency, and output quality.
- Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries, including GxP, HIPAA, or GDPR requirements.
- Preferred hands-on experience with LLMOps/MLOps tooling, vector databases, RAG pipeline engineering, or agent orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with Veeva CRM, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations; stakeholder collaboration experience; and AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer certification.
